Full Bio
Ms. Silberzweig counsels a wide range of business enterprises, from the Fortune 100 to small entrepreneurs and start-up companies. She is involved in all aspects of the purchase, sale and leasing of commercial real property, including offices, media production facilities, retail locations and shopping center parcels. She also collaborates with and supports client business units, procurement and facilities teams, in-house counsel and private clients in connection with building improvement projects and operations, such as structuring, negotiating and preparing work letters, vendor, service and maintenance agreements, and construction-related contracts including general contractor, construction management, consulting and design professional agreements. In addition, she handles residential real estate transactions for high profile individuals and companies.
Her practice also includes the financing of mortgage, asset-based and construction transactions, as well as the acquisition, disposition, organization and restructuring of business entities.
The cooperatives and condominiums she represents benefit from her comprehensive experience handling matters that involve corporate governance, building improvements, financing, commercial tenants, adjacent land owners, the purchase and sale of apartments by trusts, estates and entities, the enforcement of building policies, and day-to-day concerns of boards and apartment owners.
She has a knack for fielding unusual questions that require a steady answer and sound legal judgment.
Ms. Silberzweig received her B.A. at Northwestern University and earned her J.D. from Brooklyn Law School where she served as Notes and Comments Editor of the Brooklyn Journal of International Law. Upon graduation she joined the firm of Balber Pickard Maldonado & Van Der Tuin, P.C. where she was an associate and then a partner until joining Smith, Gambrell & Russell, LLP.
